Want more information about Transportation?
Electric vehicles have been all over the news lately! Check out KUB's Electric Vehicle Fact Sheet for some important information about EV opportunities. Customers in Knoxville and throughout Tennessee who purchase an EV might be eligible for a $2,500 rebate from the State and free home charging equipment through a federal grant awarded to ECOtality. The ECOtality project will also include solar-assisted charging stations! For more general information about electric vehicles, check out the East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition and the Knoxville Electric Vehicle Association websites. Charging locations are available from the Department of Energy's DOE Alternative Fuels and Advanced Vehicles Data Center website.

Both the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are federal resources on available alternative fuel options.
In the market for a new car? The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a Green Vehicle Guide that compares air emissions, fuel consumption, and more. Also, fueleconomy.gov is a joint EPA/DOE website that provides tools for comparing vehicles.
Knox Area Transit and
SmartTrips provide information on public transportation and carpooling, respectively.
