Formal Competitive Process

All purchases over $1,000 generally require a formal solicitation. Purchases between $1,000 and $4,000 require three verbal quotes. Purchases between $3,999 and $10,000 require three written quotes. Purchases $10,000 and up require sealed bid, evaluated bid, or a Request for Proposal.

Conflict of Interest

As public employees, each officer and employee of KUB is expected to abide by the laws and ethical principles governing KUB and to place the best interests of KUB’s customers and the public trust above their own personal interest. Activities related to the procurement of goods and services are governed by KUB’s Conflict of Interest Policy.
