Special Status Trees

If you have a large hardwood tree that you are concerned about KUB trimming, ask to talk to a KUB forester so they may clarify what trimming will be required. Depending on the tree's size, health, and other factors, it may meet criteria for special status trees . Although all trees must be trimmed to achieve the appropriate minimum clearance, special status trees may qualify for an exception to removing all additional limbs overhanging main distribution lines.
