Generation Partners

TVA recently announced it has resumed new enrollments in its Generation Partners pilot project to encourage renewable energy use across the TVA service territory. For more information, visit http://www.tva.gov/news/releases/aprjun10/renewable_energy.html

Homes and businesses that participate in Green Power Switch are already doing something good for the environment. Now, TVA and participating power distributors offer consumers even greater opportunity to support the growth of Green Power in the Tennessee Valley. It’s called Generation Partners®.

To participate, KUB customers must install a solar, wind, low-impact hydropower, or biomass generation system. Generation Partners participants receive 12 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) for solar and 3 cents per kWh for all other generation sources. That premium is in addition to the KUB residential retail rate for electricity, plus TVA's quarterly Fuel Cost Adjustment rate.
