As a KUB residential customer, you have two energy audit options through the TVA EnergyRight ® Solutuions Program: a free online audit and a $150 In-Home Energy Evaluation by a Certified TVA Energy Advisor. Both options can help you find ways to reduce your energy consumption and lower your utility bills.
To receive more accurate results from the online home energy audit, we recommend you first retrieve your energy consumption history . [Note: You may complete the audit without your specific consumption history.]
Free Online Energy Audit
In-Home Energy Evaluation by a Certified TVA Energy Advisor [$150 fee; refunded if you make at least $150 in qualifying improvements]. For an In-Home Energy Evaluation, call the TVA EnergyRight Solutuions Program toll-free number: 1-866-441-1430.
After you answer a few qualifying questions from a call center representative, you can set up an appointment with a TVA Certified Energy Advisor for an evaluation. [Advisors offer convenient evening and Saturday appointment hours.]
The advisor will collect a $150 fee at the time of the in-home audit. The fee is refunded if you make at least $150 in qualifying improvements based on the in-home audit report. Depending on the improvements you make, you can earn a cash incentive for half the cost of the qualified improvements, up to a $500 maximum. (You can receive both the refund and the $500 incentive, for a total of $650.) Improvements must be made by a member of TVA's qualified contractor network.
Homeowners may also be eligible for tax credits of up $1,500 for energy efficient improvements.
The program received positive results from the Knoxville News Sentinel and MetroPulse covered an actual energy audit and its home improvement recommendations.
