Go Green for the Power to Improve Air Quality

For just a few dollars a month, residential and business customers can purchase Green Power and help lower pollution levels in East Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains. Most electricity is produced using fossil fuels and nuclear sources that contribute to air pollution, smog, acid rain, and global warming. Green Power, however, is energy generated by renewable resources like wind, solar power, and methane gas. Buying five blocks of Green Power has the same environmental benefit as planting 2.5 acres of trees in the Tennessee Valley or not driving for nearly 10 months.
