KUB Pool Credit Program
Everyone looks forward to enjoying warm spring and summer weather—and KUB customers with swimming pools can also enjoy savings on their utility bills, thanks to the annual pool credit program.
If you’re a residential KUB water customer with a swimming pool, you may qualify for a credit on your wastewater bill. That’s because water used to fill swimming pools usually does not enter the wastewater system.
Residential customers automatically receive a credit for consumption that is at least 40 percent above their average usage. Customers with a secondary water meter for their pool are not eligible, because they don't pay wastewater charges through that meter.
If you fill your pool before June or after September, call KUB at 524-2911 to request a credit outside the summer months.
Beat the Heat With KUB’s Watering Credits
During the summer months, many customers use additional water to fill wading pools, water lawns, or wash cars. This water never enters the sewer system. That’s why KUB can give you a special credit on your wastewater bill from July through October for unusually high summer water usage.
KUB's summer watering credits make it easier to beat the heat by reducing wastewater charges for qualifying customers.
To qualify, residential customers must have received service since October 1 of the previous year at the same address and shown monthly water use to be at least 40 percent higher in the summer than the rest of the year. The watering credit applies only to amounts above the 40 percent on June, July, August, and September usage. Credits will be automatically applied to the following month's bill (July, August, September, and October).
