Understanding Your Bill
We hope this guide helps you to understand your bill. For an explanation of a particular item on your bill, simply click on the circled number that appears next to that item. For your convenience, we also have an example of the back of your bill.

1. Your Name and Account Number:
Please include this number on your check or money order when making bill payments.
This number is helpful when reporting outages on our automated system.
2. Message Area:
Look here for information regarding your bill or KUB services.
3. Bill Summary:
This area contains information about previous charges, last payment(s) received, and your current charges.
4. Service Address:
The service address is the physical address of the service(s) being billed. It is highlighted to better serve customers with multiple service addresses. You may choose to group multiple service addresses on one bill.
5. Consumption History Graphs:
Graphs show your utility usage for the past year. Bars are marked with the dates on which the meter was read and show use for the number of days between the prior read date until the displayed read date.
6. Meter Information:
Meter information is included for each residential service to help you track your utility usage.
7. Basic Service:
This is the flat rate charged monthly for utility service to all customers in this rate classification. It is itemized to help you better track your actual utility usage.
8. Sales Tax:
The State of Tennessee requires a tax on the sale of residential water and all commercial utility service.
9. Past Due After Date:
Your bill is due on receipt. Late fees will be applied to any outstanding balance after this date.
10. Late Fee:
Any applicable late fees will be added to your next bill.

Details about bill options and sign-up forms are on the back of the bill.
