Midway Rd Business Pk Sewer & Gas Extension

**Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting** Providing a new 225 gpm duplex submersible pump station, including approximately 50HP pumps, associated valves and piping, on-site diesel generator, chemical feed system, variable frequency drives, instrumentation, controls, and other associated electrical and site improvements. In addition to the pump station, the work includes approximately 13,935 LF of 6” HDPE force main and 13,535 LF of 8” MDPE gas main with associated valves and appurtenances. The work shall be completed in strict accordance with the drawings and the Contract Documents. CONTRACTOR will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals as required to restore the Site to a condition equal to or better than the Site condition which existed prior to the initiation of the Work activities.

Asset Inventory and Marking

**Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting** Contractor Responsibilities for Streets Requiring Milling & Paving a. Perform a pre-milling/paving written inventory of KUB assets on streets selected by KUB in support of the paving program (manholes will need to be opened to verify KUB asset or City of Knoxville storm system); b. Written inventory shall list type of asset (valve box, sewer manhole, gate box, sewer cleanout or meter well), manhole size, number of each type asset and any broken asset per block of specified streets; c. Inventory lists are to be turned in weekly to the KUB paving coordinator; d. Verify the utility maps (provided by KUB) of each street block are current, accurate and no assets are buried or broken; e. Each asset inventoried shall be marked with white paint in a manner determined by KUB (contractor to provide paint in colors required by KUB and application equipment); f. Streets that are milled will need to be checked and remarked, as needed, within 3 days of paving to ensure utility locations are visible to the paving crew; g. Perform a post-paving inventory within 3 days of paving, to verify no KUB asset has been covered during the paving process. Keep a written inventory of KUB assets that have been covered and turn in weekly to the KUB paving coordinator; h. Have at least 1 person on site during select paving operations (selected by KUB) to ensure KUB assets are not covered during paving operations; i. Most of the work will be performed during normal working hours Monday – Friday (as dictated by the City of Knoxville paving contract), however, there may be night and weekend work. j. North Knox (NK) Substation - Foundations, Handholds, Duct Banks, and Conduits

**Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting 3/29/17** All work activities are to take place at KUB’s North Knox (NK) Substation, 130 Dante Road, Knoxville, TN 37918. Work shall include but not be limited to: • Furnish labor, equipment and materials required to locate all benchmarks, property monuments, and baselines as required to properly identify and layout the new concrete foundations for one (1) 15Kv Substation Lattice Steel Structure, one (1) VCB Breaker and one (1) Reactor. • Furnish labor, equipment and materials required to locate all benchmarks, property monuments, and baselines as required to properly identify and layout the new concrete handhold, duct banks and concrete pedestals containing 2” and 4” PVC conduits. • Furnish labor, equipment and materials necessary to construct one (1) 15Kv Substation Lattice Steel Structure foundation, one (1) VCB Breaker foundation and one (1) Reactor foundation. Materials shall include, but are not limited to the following: forms, rebar, rebar ties, castle chairs, concrete and expansion board, as well as, stone for construction and housekeeping. • Perform excavation only for installation of the new ground wire elements by others as shown on KUB Drawing D-5839, Sheet 1, and Revision 9. • KUB will auger the drilled shaft reactor foundation, but Contractor to dispose of the soil. Contractor is responsible for excavating for the other foundations and ground grid with soil conditions being unclassified. • Furnish all labor and material to install all conduits, base and intermediate spacers, fittings, bends, rebar, concrete, etc. to complete the conduit installation of both the 2”and 4”PVC duct systems. Install concrete pedestals at existing foundations for the 2” and 4” duct systems. Install KUB furnished 5’-0” X 5’-0” X 6’-0” concrete handhold. All duct lines shall be encased in concrete and backfilled with clean and compacted dirt from the handholes to foundations as shown on the drawings. • Furnish a concrete and soils testing firm to perform specified testing. The testing firm to be used on this job shall be Foundation System Engineering.

Supply and Install Furniture and Equipment for KUB Facilities

The Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) desires to enter into a 5-year contract with an office systems furniture vendor who has the ability to furnish and install up to approximately five hundred (500) workstations of various sizes at KUB facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee.
