Bad Order Cable Replacement - Lyons Crossing Subdivision

HOC Corporate Services PV Array

**Mandatory On-Site Pre-Bid Meeting** The project is the construction of an approximately 50 kW photovoltaic (PV) array that will be mounted to the roof of the Corporate Services Building at the Hoskins Operations Center (HOC) of the Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB), located at 4505 Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville, Tennessee. The installation of the PV array will follow a current roof replacement project at the same location, during which structural framing will be installed to support the mounting rails and tilt legs for the fixed array. The system will be connected under the TVA Dispersed Power Production (DPP) Guidelines as a Self-Generation (no excess power compensation) system. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and services required for the construction of the PV Array as further outlined by these plans and specifications.

HOC Mechanical Building Upgrades

**Project Update** ** Addendum 1** **Mandatory Pre-bid Meeting** The project is located at the Hoskins Operations Center (HOC) of the Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB), located at 4505 Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville, Tennessee. Chilled water plant is upgraded utilizing three (3) – 300 ton high efficiency variable speed water cooled centrifugal chillers. The three (3) existing cooling towers are to be refurbished with new distribution piping, drift eliminators, fill, blades and variable speed fans. Each chiller shall have a dedicated constant volume horizontal split case double suction primary pump for the primary chilled water loop. Two (2) variable speed secondary end suction chilled water pumps shall be arranged in a standby configuration to distribute chilled water. A second set of variable speed secondary end suction chilled water pumps shall be arranged in a standby configuration. A 2000 MBH gas fired hot water boiler is also added to provide additional capacity to the heating plant. The energy plant chilled and heating water systems shall also receive new piping and hydronic appurtenances arranged and sequenced to minimize downtime during the construction and for future maintenance activities. The power service shall be taken from the existing double-ended main-tie-main switchboard within the facility at 480Y277 volts, 3-phase, 4-wire. The pad mounted transformers and metering are existing to remain. A new 1200 ampere main distribution panel (MDP) shall be installed to serve the new pumps and mechanical equipment. Dry-type transformers (115 Degree C Rise) shall be used to create 208Y120 volt power for receptacles and small equipment. New branch circuit panelboards at both voltage levels shall be installed to serve the smaller motor and convenience loads. The existing emergency power (generator) branch circuit shall be replaced with a new panel of the same size. All equipment shall be replaced in a phased and sequenced fashion with no downtime to the central plant. The existing MCC shall be replaced with new VFD units and Combination type starters located near the equipment served on strut racks. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and services required for all building work as further outlined by these plans and specifications.
