Renewable Energy at KUB

KUB is committed to improving the sustainability of its operations and providing programs for residential and business customers with clean energy needs. As renewable energy solutions become increasingly important to businesses, local governments and community members, supporting the development of clean energy resources has become a key part of KUB’s strategy to help create a greener future for the communities it serves. 

KUB is currently accepting proposals from qualified firms to develop solar generation facilities in the Knoxville area. This solicitation marks a key step in exploring opportunities for the community to deploy more than 80 MW of solar energy under the TVA Generation Flexibility program.
