KUB residential customers and small businesses can participate in the TVA EnergyRight® Smart Thermostat Rewards program, which rewards participants for using less energy during times of peak energy demand. The voluntary program allows TVA to adjust participants’ thermostats up or down by four degrees for up to 60 hours during a peak demand event per season. 

What to expect:

1. Participants will receive a $65 enrollment rebate or up to $100 towards a smart thermostat purchase.
2. Participants are eligible to receive an annual rebate of $65 (year-round program) or $20 (summer only) with a 65% participation rate.
3. When participating in the program, customers can expect automatic adjustments of up to four degrees for four hours during times of peak demand.
4. Customers will be able to opt out of events manually or fully unenroll from the program at any time.

Eligibility:

1. Participants must already have or install an eligible device with active internet connectivity.
2. Residential participants must live in a residential single- or multi-family home with electric or gas heat. 
3. Small businesses must utilize a qualifying residential thermostat.
4. When participating in the program, automatic adjustments of up to four dgrees for four hours during times of peak demand.
