KUB Response to Tree Trim Panel Recommendations

In 2010, KUB established a Tree Trim Policy Review Panel to review its vegetation management program and make recommendations to help KUB improve its entire program. The panel consisted of 16 dedicated citizens, representing a diverse set of opinions, perspectives, and expertise. That panel made 75 recommendations to KUB, including more than 150 action items. After seven months of work, the panel presented KUB with a report and two minority reports. The Board endorsed implementation of all but four of the recommendations.

KUB implemented that work over the course of two years and presented its final report to the Board in November 2012, bringing closure to the process. KUB is grateful for the panel's contributions. We think we have a much stronger program as a result of their efforts, and KUB is committed to continuous improvement.
