KUB works hard to maintain and upgrade our wastewater system to prevent sewer overflows. Wastewater system work conducted under our Century II program, for example, helps to reduce the number of overflows significantly.

We use a coordinated mix of tools to address overflows. They include ongoing maintenance programs, construction projects to rehabilitate or replace pipes, and wet weather wastewater storage.

Despite our best efforts, however, overflows still occur, especially during heavy rainfall. Visit our SSO Log for a list of overflows and their cleanup status.
